5 Best Seafood Restaurants in Venice
Seafood is one of the most popular forms of cuisine in Venice, and below are some of the best seafood restaurants that you can try in the city.
Antico Dolo (Ruga Rialto)
There is no coincidence that this restaurant comes top of my list. It is a historic restaurant which has so much character that you could spend hours sat in here enjoying the food and sampling the wine. The restaurant certainly takes advantage of its location next to one of
the local fresh food markets to drum up quite fantastic dishes.
Alle Testiere (Sestiere Castello)
This small restaurant has an unglamorous look to it but the food goes to show that you shouldn’t always judge a book by its cover. Any quality that is lacking in the decor is certainly compensated in the quality and diversity of the freshly cooked fished.
Do Farai (Dorsoduro)
The locally prepared seafood is nicely accompanied by traditional Venetian service to make for a great experience here. The prices are not amongst the cheapest in the city, but if you are after quality then sometimes you just have to pay for it. The owner makes a real effort to make people welcome and add a personal touch.
Taverna San Lio (Castello, 5547/46
This restaurant is stylishly decorated in a modern yet traditional fashion. The traditional dishes are prepared using fresh local produce and never fail to please.
Boccadoro (Cannaregio 5405)
The rumours of the delightful seafood on offer here can at first seem as if they are only rumours as it can be quite tough to find this establishment the first time that your go,although the effort is well worth it when you get your teeth into the delightful seafood
rangeavailable here.
